Dear Reader,
Thank you for being a free subscriber to The Three Taverns.
We are at an inflection point in our nation. The U.S. is adrift trying to reconnect to what our purpose is in this world. Next Tuesday is “Election Day” here in our country where we begin to tally the early votes and the votes of the day to determine who our next President will be.
There are many in religious circles as well as political who “rise up and distort the truth in order to draw a following.” (Acts 20:30, NLT). All too easy to manipulate masses follow the lies. Low or no information voters can actually determine the course of our country for the rest of us who take time to study, think for ourselves and care.
So much is not in our control. As believers in Jesus Christ, our best and most powerful tools are united prayer, the community of other believers and living in righteousness according to scripture. Also, remembering and sharing that “there is peace with God through Jesus Christ, who is Lord of all.” (Acts 10:36, NLT).
When Emily and I voted last week I noted in a Facebook post that it was fun and easy, but that it also felt sacred. There is a weightiness to determining your decision and making it known. But none more than this: “Now, who will want to harm you if you are eager to do good? But even if you suffer for doing what is right, God will reward you for it. So don’t worry or be afraid of their threats. Instead, you must worship Christ as Lord of your life. And if someone asks about your hope as a believer, always be ready to explain it.” (I Peter 3:13-15, NLT).
I cannot control the national election. I can only control me. And this election is one I can win every single day, to exalt Jesus as Lord of my life and share that hope with others. In the midst of this national angst, we can “search for peace and work to maintain it.” (I Peter 3:11, NLT)
Let’s do that.
SHAMELESS PLUG: URGENT! MONEY MATTERS!
In 1965, the year I was born, one ounce of silver was $1.
It would take either $2,500 or 2500 oz. of silver to buy a new Ford Mustang.
If you saved that $2500 in cash you could not afford a new transmission in a Ford Mustang today.
If you saved 2,500 oz. of silver, it would be worth $85,000 today.
It would purchase TWO new Ford Mustangs (base price $32,515) and you would still have $20,000 left over.
If you are saving dollars, you are losing your wealth like water through your fingers. Your wealth is being stolen by taxes and inflation. Period.
In 2001 an ounce of gold was about $242 per oz.
An average house in the U.S. at that time cost $169,000.
So it would have taken 696 oz. of gold to buy a house.
If you had saved 696 oz. of gold in 2001 it would be worth over $1,900,000 today. You could buy three houses at average U.S. price ($412,300) and still have $700,000 left over.
What has happened to our money? It is being printed into oblivion. It's not your fault. But you need to do something about it.
If you talked to any advisor worth his or her salt they would tell you to get some gold and silver. DON'T buy it from them, you will pay too much with their 10-20% markups. DON'T buy paper (stocks) only. The ONLY gold and silver you have is what is in your possession. If electric or internet goes down, what is your paper wealth worth?
JP Morgan has advised this in a tweet: "Sell stocks. Buy gold."
There's a reason.
If you DO ALREADY buy gold and silver from anyone else, you are paying too much. I promise you, no one beats the prices we can get in our network. No one.
If you DON’T buy it, take action and start. We can help you start for less than a cup of coffee a day, exchanging fiat currency for real money.
If you want to know the absolute BEST way to buy gold and silver it is to bypass the dealers and get direct from the suppliers. That's what we can do in our network.
We had a live presentation last night in the Westhaven community of Franklin. Every person there who was not already part of our network is joining...it's just too good a deal and too serious a time to pass it up. If you want to be invited to join us next Wednesday night respond to this email and I will send you information.
Otherwise, we can have a short chat on the phone and I can describe what we are doing. Find out more TODAY and private message me to start taking serious steps for protecting your household.
TUESDAY TAVERN TALKS
This group of men meeting at The Mission Cigar & Social on Tuesday mornings at 7am has turned out to be incredibly encouraging and powerful. Open, honest, unedited is our policy.
"God and man, no religion" to quote David Bowie's song.
Real faith for real men facing the world's challenges.
FORWARD THIS INVITATION ALONG TO SOMEONE ELSE AND INVITE THEM TO JOIN YOU THERE!
Honest stories, Bible studies, prayer, fellowship, and of course the first cigar of the day. We have non-cigar guys who come as well.
THIS WEEK: Earl Hanson will be sharing his story with us. We all know and love Earl and look forward to his refreshing and humble honesty. He will be mic’d up too so everyone can hear!
Bring your coffee, your Bible, Febreze if you go to the office after, an open mind and open heart. You can purchase a cigar as well to enjoy your first cigar of the day.
We are really grateful to Mark, Monte and Willie for opening up The Mission early each Tuesday and participating in Tavern Talks!
I look forward to seeing YOU in The Three Taverns!
Looking Up!
