Dear Reader,
Thank you for being a free subscriber to The Three Taverns.
Taverns are places where small groups of people cluster together and talk. They share stories because humans live and learn through stories.
That’s why one of the first things tyrants do when they are grabbing more power is they shut down gathering places like churches and synagogues, taverns and home meetings. When people get together we are reminded that our freedoms as human beings are not given by government but by God.
Last night I met with a small group of 8 men at The Standard in downtown Nashville who talked about our nation, our founding documents, and about how to get back on track as a country. It was a fascinating conversation.
This country was born out of a small group of men and women who risked their lives and laid it all on the line to form a “more perfect union.” The age of some of the men who we call “founding fathers” in July 4, 1776 when they voted for independence was shockingly young, such as James Monroe who was 18 at the time. Several others were in their 20’s. George Washington was 44 years old.
They had their whole lives in front of them, yet by agreeing to make their stand against tyranny they believed they were potentially signing their own death warrant. They wanted a place where they could live, raise families freely, worship and speak freely, own property and pursue happiness. The documents they produced were to limit government, not the people.
Do not despise small beginnings, small groups of people who choose to stand for what is right and change the flow of history.
DO NOT COMPLY
When governments overreach it is incumbent upon us not to comply.
Moses' mother did not comply with Pharoah.
Moses himself did not comply with Pharoah.
Esther did not comply with Haman.
Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego did not comply with Nebuchadnezzar.
Daniel did not comply with King Darius.
Jesus Christ did not comply with Herod or Rome.
Peter and John did not comply with their political religious leaders.
Paul did not comply with Roman leaders.
Those listed above RESPECTED authority but did not comply with authorities when they overstepped their God-given authority.
There is a good history throughout time of men and women of principle and faith in God not complying with their governments.
They did it to maintain their witness and to call the government to account. Governments are to punish evil and reward good. Governments overstep their bounds when they start rewarding evil and punishing good. "Give to Caesar what is Caesar's" shows there are limits to the world's governmental authority.
When we are under the authority of Christ, we operate in the law of love, but the fear of God will not let us simply comply if governments reward evil, break their own laws, and lie, cheat and steal to stay in power.
Covid-19 taught us a lot. Who will comply? Who will go along to get along? What kind of world did adults subject children to from their own illogical and pathological fears? Each day we are getting further lessons.
Let's learn them before it is beyond our ability to bring change. I believe a righteous people are standing firm against tyranny. Better to be an amazing ancestor than a compliant descendant. This is how we can deliver to the next generation a nation and a world worth living in.

SHAMELESS PLUG: ASSETS AND LIABILITIES
Asset= something that will feed you
Liability= something that will eat you if you stop feeding IT.
Kiyosaki says assets put money IN your pocket, liabilities take money OUT of your pocket.
What do you think your home mortgage is?
Your car note?
Your savings in dollars? It is being eaten by taxes and inflation.
What about gold and silver? No downside. Even if it "loses value" it simply means when you liquidate some for dollars that your dollar is stronger and thus buys more. But if it "gains value" it means the dollar is weakening but you still get the exact amount of dollars that will buy what they currently buy.
So if you save $2,500 and the dollar loses value, you can only buy less with those savings. You lost against inflation; and don’t forget the tax man cometh too!
But if you buy 1 oz. gold at $2500 and it sells for $3000 next month, you can buy with that $3000 what $2500 purchased this month. The dollar lost value but there is no loss to you!
Gold and silver. Get some.
We have it cheapest, easiest, and best buyback.
Plus a killer affiliate plan that can make you a LOT of money.
