Dear Reader,
Thank you for joining us in The Three Taverns.
We want to provoke thought with this newsletter. Even if it’s a simple thought to ponder, that you can chew on throughout the day.
The Three Taverns is named after a verse in Acts 28:15 where Paul visited a town called Three Taverns and found encouragement as he was on his way to stand before the powers of this world. We are also called to stand with Christ in this very same world, suited up in the full armor of God and holding His ground. (Ephesians 6:13-17).

“CHURCH” IS AN ACTION WORD
"I'm going to church."
This is a statement of movement from one place, presumably home, to another place, a church building, for an event or meeting.
But what if we changed it to something more like this: "What am I going to do today? The same thing I do EVERY day! I'm gonna church!"
This is not about events or meetings. It’s not about putting on an organized religious show. This is a walk, a lifestyle, in the relationship and under the full management of Jesus Christ.
There is no off button. God dwells within you. He is your very life. So, all day, every day, in every way, let’s turn church into an ACTION: “I’M GONNA CHURCH!”
Church is not where you go.
Church is who you are.
You can’t join a church. Jesus adds you to His church, the one He is building. The manmade orgs and structures you can join all day long. But Jesus is building His church, placing the living stones where He wants them, connecting the tissues together as He sees fit. Stay in tune with His Spirit and watch Him do amazing things through those who say, “I’m gonna church!”
TUESDAY TAVERN TALKS
We are blessed each week by men giving us all a glimpse into their life and things they are overcoming.
COMING UP:
July 15- Shay Rankhorn- My Story- this is the “3 screen man” who sits in the Mission as his office. Shay is a father with 8 kids, a business owner and a former church pastor. Now he pastors in the marketplace.
July 22- Open
We look forward to every week together.
Tavern Talks is about our stories and God’s story. It’s not about perfect people with perfect stories but authentic working out this salvation in our lives.
Each Tuesday morning at 7am you will find two to three dozen men gathered to hear each other’s stories, to encourage one another, to teach scripture and pray together.
This gathering is at The Mission Cigar & Social in Spring Hill.
Looking Up! (Luke 21:28)
